"RYAN LARSON: Now, we're going to do a little reggae on the bass. And what we're going to do is really start on the root and just go 1-3-5 off of our different chord placings. So we have 1-3-5, right? 1-3-5. There's our 4-3-5. So 4 as our root, we have 1-3-5. Same pattern, you'll notice. Or we could do it after our ii chord and we get a minor 2, minor 3rd, 5. 2-5-1-4-2-5-4 or 1-4. So that's some basic reggae and we're just using triads or 1-3-5 off of the different moves that we have in the major scale. So really, just remember those different intervals 1 through 3rd. And remember our minor chords, you have a minor 3rd. We're either going up a string and two frets back or on the same string, up three frets."
