"RYAN LARSON: Now, we can go over our muting techniques. Remember we had one shaker and we'd played it open and then in close. Now, it's hard to do that with two big shakers but if you have one big shaker and you put both your hands over, you can get different sound tones. So, that's just another thing to keep in mind is you can use this especially if you're recording with the instrument. You can get all these different color tones out of it. So, keep that in mind as you play your shaker and you even get a little bit muting with one hand as you play it open like this and then play it. So, these are all different things to keep in mind as you approach your shaker techniques."
