"So we've gone through and learned our first couple measures of Accordion lover blues, and now you notice in the next two measures we have the same D Flat 7 going in the bass, and then our right hand actually plays our first measure again, that's our first motif, our natural 4 to 5 and natural 5 to 6. This is what we call a call and response motif where we have an original melody, then a response, and then we go back to the original melody. So it's a nice melodic motif that's used a lot, especially in the blues, but also in accordion music or classical music, rock music. In general, it's nice to have just a motif that's used throughout the piece and you keep referencing back to it, really helps to unite the piece and really give it its overall sound. So now we're going to play that. It's the same melody again, and it just repeats itself, so we have the call, response. And those are our first four measures to Accordion lover blues."
