Live Sequencing for Korg Keyboard Hip Hop Beats

"Now I am going to do a little live show, doing my keyboard thing, but first I want to tell you how to save it. There is a little media card you are going to have to buy, you can get them at Radio shack or Circuit City and you put that in the back here, you can get them on line to. Then you want to hit "Media" and it will access that card, now these are all the different tracks I have saved here. So what you want to do is go for mode and you want to click "Save", hit utility and go to "Save sequence". There is a whole bunch, it says, "save all, save PCG and sequence". Just hit "save sequence" and then you can give it a name, we are going to call this "Fa Shizzle" . So we got F, A , well we are not going to spell it all out right now. So you can call it whatever, I got fast file, whatever, we can do it fast, fast file, save, ok so now I have the sequence saved and I can go back to it anytime. So now I have it saved, I have my levels down, what I want to do is pick what I want to start off with. So I want to start off with just base and keyboards. So now I got that picked out, so now I am playing with a rapper and he starts rapping, I want to kick it in. Just do a little intro, you know give him some space, maybe I know when the base is going to come in, I want to go four, one, two, three, four. Now he starts flowing, I am going to put the high hat in there, maybe and he is back. So I got that tabla in there, I can give a little variety. So going back and muting things and turning them off and on live, really gives a lot of style to it. Again I can do a solo, one, two, three, four. It comes back in or if I wanted to do just base and two, three, four and it kicks back in. By messing around with however many you have going at once really gives it a lot. The idea behind it is to start with only a couple of tracks on, again here is starting with just high hat and keyboards and you will see how nice it sounds. It is really mellow and I can build up and it gives me stuff I can add in, I can add in the snare and then I can go in add in the individual mixes and again there is an art to going in and out and getting it balance between these different things that I have recorded. The best thing you can do is start making your own sequences and start practicing do them live."
