"Now we are going to show you to set up the actual "Sequencer". So if you are on the "Sequencer" button, you can go there will be a button that says, "Preference", you click on that and the screen will come up. First you will see "recording set up" and you can go "overwrite, overdub, manual punch in, and loop all tracks". Now today we are going to use "Loop all tracks" which gives you the loop and what it does is when you hit the "Record button" it will play that back. It did not actually record that. Now if you go to "Precount" you can give it measures that you had to count you in or if you put that down to "zero", it will start recording right away. Put precount to zero, now listen. Now the one thing about "Loop" is is if you keep making sounds, it will "overdub"it in there. So if you made a sound and you want to get rid of it, you go to "overwrite" and then it "record" and it will make the track blank again. So, now I am playing the track and there is nothing there. So, you want to familiarize your self with this, you have recording setup, you have your precount, which gives a measure count in. Then you also have your "Metronome", you can set that to "record only" or set it to "off". You can set it to "playback and record", I can not do that right now because I have not recorded anything yet. These are the basic things you want to pay attention to, also if you if you go up to top and click over, you can set the time here. There is a little note and it has one seventy seven and that changes the time. Here we have it at two forty or I can bring it down real slow to fifty. Another good trick you can use in your sequences is to record very slow and then speed it up and that is what we are going to do today. You will see how hip that sounds, you can play something very simple and groovy, that just really grooves, then when you speed it up, it sounds so sweet."
