"So now we're going to do a recap of what we learned today. We went over the E Major scale, our seven note scale, and we learned our five basic roots, we have our 1 Major, our 4 and our 5 7th chords, and we have our two minor and six minor chords. So you have 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, important roots to remember and you can find those on the left hand. Again, you have1, and you have 4 and 5 right next to it, 4, 5, and then you have 2 and 6 over here. So now we can go through and we can play our Beebop scales, our Blues scales, all in that key and we can learn all the different chords that come out of these root voicing?s. And remember these are just the roots, so you if you need to play a B Minor chord, you can just play your B note which is right here, the 5th of E, and just play it with a minor button. So here's E Major to B Minor. So we're going a little bit out of the E Major scale, but just use these note centers as a reference and most of the songs you'll be going through on the accordion are folk melodies, they're simple melodies, but nice easy chord changes so don't worry about too much chromaticism as you approach your left hand and right hand and play through accordion in E Major."
