"So now that we have our major chords down, our A and our E7, we are going to play Amajor and E7 in our left hand and then I am going to improvise in my right hand using the Amajor scale. (Plays) You notice how I touched the note and how I used the bellows to get different sounds. I can do staccato or I can do locatto (plays). You can really picture a drunken person playing the accordion. (Plays) So there are all these different ways you can approach your accordion using the same scale. It is a technique that you put behind the scale that gives it that tinge or authenticity that you're looking for."
