"Now we are going to take a look at our left hand and we are going to find A first. Now the easiest way to find A is if you go to the second row here, you have these little indented notes that are marked and sometimes they have a little button here that sticks out. It should stick out from all the other keys and the one in the middle is C but we want to go up to the next one up, which is E and you can match it up with your left hand. A is one button below that so you have A right here (plays). And now what we have here is our A and this is our A major chord right here below it like a little triangle and then we're going to our fifth which is like a little triangle. So we have root chord-fifth chord. That is your basic polka beat and you can do it in any type of style that you wanted to, you could just go between the 1 and the 5, or you could put the chord in there. If we go down, we have all these other buttons below it in this row and it just goes down chord values, so you have A major, A minor, A7,and A diminshed. So you have all these different chord qualities just for this one note. So if you want to play an A7, just hit your A root and the 7th button, and now remember we went to our fifth, and this is our fifth root so if we want to make chords off our fifth, remember we go 5-7, 1Major, 5-7, 1major, 5-7, 1major. And those are your two first chords in this maze of buttons here on the accordion."
