"Now we're going to take a look at the A major scale on my right hand and we just start right here on the A, right here in a group of three...A-B-C#-D-E-F#-G#-A. S you have the bottom of the group of two and the two notes on the bottom of the group of three (plays). And we are going to number this scale, so we have 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, so a nice basic 7-note scale (plays). We are going to go through and show you the significance of those numbers. You have your two chords which is a minor chord and you have your five chord which is a seventh chord. And you have your one chord which is you're a major chord. If you play A-C#-E that is your one triad, or A major triad. So go through and really get that pattern under your fingers and you will be ready as we start to go through our adventures with A major."
