"So, now we have our D major scale down, so if we go through and look at the actual notes you have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, seven notes. Now, if you take that scale and make a different degree of the scale the root, so if we make two the root, we?ll have our minor chord. You can hear at the root. So our E minor chord comes out of D major. And we?re going to show you that chord on our left hand but it?s very important that you see it on the right hand first so you know where it?s coming from and what to play over when you?re playing that chord, it?s just the same scale except you make this the root. And that?s your E minor scale, derived out of D major on your right hand."
