"RYAN LARSON: So now, we're going to take a visual look at our A major scale. And we start right here on the second string, and that's your A open. We go open, 2nd, 4th, open, 2nd, 4th, 1, 2. Again, these are just your frets: open, 2nd fret, 4th fret, open, 2nd fret, 4th, one, two. And you also have on the bottom string, you have O-2 and 4, which is 5-6 and 7 of your scale. So if we start here, we got 5-6-7-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-1 and you have these two on top here too. So now, when we do chords that start on the fifth note, we can start down here and we can utilize that low string as well. So we're going to go through and show you more on how to find the notes in the scale as we go online and learn how to walk through."
