"Now we're going to take a look at the Locrian mode or seventh mode of the major scale. So the easiest way is just to think a half step up of where you are at. So B flat comes out of B. So b flat is the seventh note of B major. So we would be actually playing A sharp because we are going to read it in all sharps, but the roots still B flat. So we are going to take a look here. This is the scale. You start off right here with a flat two, flat three, four, flat five, flat six, flat seven. So a lot of flats in there. The easiest way to do, think, is just think the major scale above. It's called the half diminished chord because we have a diminished triad here. All minor thirds on the seventh on the top. The major use of this chord is in a minor two five you play the Locrian, or the half diminished, as a two and then your five as an altered. So you got, so diminished, altered, diminished. It's very important to get that scale under your fingers and the easiest way is just think the major scale a half step up. That's your Locrian."
