"How to Play Classical Music in D: Measures 4-6 Now, for the next few measures, we're going to go through and find out the numbers, then I will show, on my hands, what it actually looks like when we play the pattern. We will start here. Remember that the "D" is the note right above this first line, so we have the not above it and the note below it. So, we have a 7 and a 2. Then, we have this five here: 2 and 5. That's actually a four on the top so we have 5, 2, 4, 5, 2, 4. Then, this moves up a notch, so we are at the D again. So we have 1, 3, then we have 5, 1, 3: our basic major triad. Then, 1, 3 again, then 5, 3, 5. So we took that triad and spread it out. So now will will look at it as it looks when we play it on the keyboard. So the first one we started with; here's our "D." Remember we're way up on the keyboard so we're at 7, 2, 5, 2, 4. Then back up to D 1, 3, 5, 1, 3. 1, 3, then is goes 6, 7, 6. So again, there's the first second and third. That's our next system in the key of "D Major.""
