on 11/4/2009 Hi Ross,

Excellent clips.

Very useful, I am just starting and therefore on very steep learning curve!

I am with a local dance class which is very good but progress is bit slow, so these tips are really helpful!

regs,

David

"Hi! I am Ross on behalf of expertvillage.com, and this is my dance partner Cindy. We are going to show you the exchange. We will start in close position. Slow, slow, quick-quick, slow, slow, quick-quick. We separate it by letting go of our rear arms and the right arm for the lead. Okay, now we are going to stop and show you the move exchange. In the exchange this is what we are going to start or end up in opposite positions; and now for the move. The front hand here after we separate into open position, I am going to lead her towards me. She needs to dance straight ahead. So that she does not hit me, I need to move slightly to the left. As I go to the left, I am looking at my watch that moves my arms across, and she is walking forward as I turn, then she turns. We will do it from this side now. So open position, I am going to lead her towards me and step to the left at the same time, while looking at my watch. She is moving forward, turning underneath as I turn to the left and now we are facing each other. Now we will do that with the basic step, slow-slow, slow-slow, rock step, slow-slow rock step, open position, slow-slow rock step. As I execute the move, I have to let her know slightly ahead of the beat one, so at the beat of the rock step, is when I need to let her know. Rock step, slow rock, look at the watch and one more time, slow-slow rock step, slow-slow rock step, slow-slow rock step. That is the exchange. "
