"The next thing I'm going to show you is about the touch and the latch. The touch and the latch is basically how your automation is recorded. With any of these send mutes, and all, and volume, that's all automation. With the touch and the latch, the touch is actually going to make it so that if I move while this is playing, it's going to record the automation that I'm doing. As I play this, what happens is I can actually change the volume and actually record what I do with my fader. If I turn this volume down, right, it's actually as long as I hold it down, it's going to continue that at that level with the touch. As soon as I let go of it, it's going to go back to the normal level it was at previously before I touched it. Now, if I switch this to latch, what I'm going to do is if I touch it and I bring it down, it's going to latch on to whatever volume I left it at and that's really the big difference between those two and after I press stop, it's actually going to show the actual data that I recorded. When I play it, it's actually going to move the fader and play exactly what I just moved."
