"Hello my name is Russell Squires and I’m here today on behalf of ExpertVillage.com. I’m going to talk to you right now about a bowing technique called Staccato, which is a musical term that means separated. In this style, we move the bow in abrupt, fierce gestures to produce short burst of sound. We can take our bow, move it in several different tempos along with the fingers in positions to create stylized pieces of music. You can also us a style of Pisacado to create Staccato style notes or separated notes. You can do this by plucking in short burst, and that’s the Staccato style. "
