"Now we are going to go through and play some bass notes with it. Now if you notice a lot of these chords like right here in the beginning you have these simple 2,5s you can do what we call half steps into it. So if we hit the C and the next note is the note right next to the G and then the next note is next to the A and the next note is right next to the D so it is called side stepping. So we got C, we got to get to G, so we got C, G,A,D,and then we got E and then we have a whole measure of E so we can just play it 1,3,5,7, and then A 1,3,5,7, then D 1,3,5,7,1,3,5,7. So there is a couple of different ways to approach the bass but half steps is really good when you have 2 chords like where we have this D minor of G and then B flat E. You can just go. So you got D,G,B flat, C. Another simple bass technique like say we are going to C major and we got to get to the E so just use a couple of notes you know. So your C is right here and your E is right here so maybe over shot it and go down or do a side step. So a really important thing is see where you are starting and where you are going and really find the logical way inside the scale that you are in to get there. "
