"Now we are going to utilize some right hand passages using the key of D major. So I am going to start playing a nice D major Triad and just run up the scale. So what we are going to do is we are going to play after the 7th degree of the note. So 1, 2,3,4,5,6,7 so we are going to use that as our melody line center so start with a 1 chord. I just keep coming back to that note, a sweet note. I'll still stay in the major scale. A little chromatic there. I am just doing a 1, 6, 2,5 with my left hand. And these nice simple melodic ideas in motif that really gives a song a lot of content. You can put a lot of ideas and motif's in just 1 sound. It would just really sound muffled, kind of like throwing all your tricks out at once. So you want to just really keep it simple and have simple ideas and just a couple of ideas for every simple piece and you will have some great music. "
