"So now we are going to do some more stuff on more advance reading. Now the first thing you really have to know for basic is the time signature. You are going to see it set up like you have this treble cleft here and it is going to say either 4,4 or 3,4 or 6,8. What that is really telling you is how many beats are in a measure. So this means 4 beats are in the measure 4 beats are in the measure, a 6,8 means it gots 6 beats per measure and 8th field. So it is like 1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6 so it is almost like a waltzer like a dew wop type feel. So now you have your time signatures, let's do some simple reading so we have 4,4, 4 beats per measure. You have 4 basic notes, you have your quarter note, your half note. So 4 beats in a whole measure, 2 beats in a whole measure. Got a whole note takes up the whole measure then you even got more subdivision you got 8th notes, 8 of those 2 of them make a beat. 16 notes 4 to a beat and it looks just like a 8th note but they double the line there then you can double the line again and that is a 16 or a 30 second note and that is really fast.
