" Hey guys! I'm Philip and we are going over how to set up a drum set. Right now we are on the high hat stand. So I told you earlier, when I went over all the parts, that this was in 2 pieces, and I explained why later. Really it is because it wouldn't fit in that hardware bag; it was just too long if I didn't take it in 2 pieces, and that is why the other cymbal stand is in the other two pieces. It just wouldn't fit. Here is how you set this thing up. I want you to look at this big piece at the bottom is just like a normal cymbal stand. It has a foot pedal on the bottom to control the high hat cymbals. The high hat cymbals are the ones that sit off to the side and clap into one another and go.... They are pretty much the most used cymbal on the drum set, a lot in rock and everything. But moving on, you set it up just like a normal cymbal stand, so you want to extend the tripod at the bottom and tighten it up exactly the same way as the last one. The only difference is this one you need to fasten the foot pedal, and now this one, has two metal bars that you just put into the holes on either side. You just squeeze them, put them in the holes in top and bottom right here. Different kinds of different mechanisms, but it is pretty easy. Just look at it for a minute to figure out what is going on with it. If you understand how to set one up, you can figure out the rest. So this is how you set up the bass of a high hat stand."
