How to Use a Snare Drum Stand

" Hi guys! I'm Philip and we are learning how to set up a drum set. This little stand right here is a snare drum stand and it is a pretty important stand. So just like every other stand, you want to loosen this and set up your tripod at the very beginning, and so now it stands on its own. Now the snare drum stand is a little bit different because it's got another kind of tripod on top. So you want to loosen this; it's just like a little cymbal arm that tells you what angle the cymbal sits at. You just want to lift this up and tighten it again. Now just like a symbol stand, again, you can do the altitude of this just by loosening and loosening up and down, and all these stands are the same. So if you come here and you look at this, there are three parts of this top part. You just take them and make sure they come down evenly and put them down. And this is where you put the snare drum; you just put it straight on top. And you want to tighten your snare drum with this little spin thing right here. You don't won't a snare drum normally to sit loose because it shakes and can do things, but having your snare drum on there tight, it just cleans it up and it just keeps from somebody knocking it and the whole thing falling. It's just a smarter thing to do. So when you set it up make sure your snare drum is tightened into the stand. "
