Now we're going to talk about the sugar. The sugar is a step that can be used either in place or traveling. You're typically going to see the sugar in more Broadway style dance, or old fashioned style dancing. So starting with your right foot, you're going to step with your heel pressed forward on the ball of your foot. Then you're going to twist your foot, and you're going to switch feet. Now the next foot is going to do the same thing. Step with the foot turned out, and twist. Step with the foot turned out, and twist. When you do the sugar, you want to make sure that your knees are nice and loose, and you can also make sure your hands are loose, too. You don't want to do the sugar too tight. So step, and twist. Step, and twist. Step, and twist. Step, and twist. You can also move your hips up and down when you're doing the sugar to add another dimension to it. Now I'll show you how to execute the sugar up to tempo. Now I'll show you how to do the sugar in place, so instead of stepping forward, you're going to step right in the same spot that you stepped last time. Now I'm going to show the sugar a little bit faster traveling.
