Now I'm going to talk about Trenches. Trenches are moves that are best suited for old fashioned choreography, something from the thirties, forties and fifties. What you want to do is you want to start with your feet together, you're going to brush the flat part of your tap backwards, you're going to hop, switch feet, brush the other foot backwards. Just continue doing that, brushing each time you pull your foot back. You're going to pull one foot back and then switch feet, switch feet, switch feet, switch feet. Now I will show the side view of the Trench, brush the foot back and switch, and switch, and switch, and switch. Now I'll show you the Trench up to tempo. Now I'll show you the side view of the Trench to Tempo. Pull it back, switch, switch, switch, switch. When you're doing the Trenches, the leg that is back, you want to have that foot forward and the opposite arm out. So if the right leg is back the right arm will be down towards the floor, left arm will be out to the side and opposite.
