"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Rodney Lopez and this is my lovely partner Amelia Maldonado. We're here at Dance Manhattan Studios here in New York City, and today we're going to teach you the merengue. Gentlemen, we can do this to the other direction. If you start with your left hand this time, you can wrap her up to the left. What I'm going to do is take my left hand this time and rotate it inside of her hand. Again, whenever you're turning the lady, sometimes you have to really make sure that the inside of your hand touches the inside of hers. Otherwise, my wrist will crack along the way. Gentlemen, rotate your left hand inside her wrist just like you did with your right hand. This time, bring the left hand across her face. 1, 2, 3, 4. This is another way to do the wrap turn. It's the same technique and it's the same footwork, except she's going to do her left instead of to her right. I'll bring her back to the open position and demonstrate that again. I'm going to rotate my hand inside of hers, bring my left hand across her face while she's doing her basic time step. 1, 2, 3, 4, and now she's been wrapped to the left. "
