"Hi, my name is Paul Becker and I'm here to talk to you about accordions today on behalf of Expert Village. We like to show you something about how the bellows work and you know if you are a piano player and you pick up a accordion the first thing you might do is to get over here on the right hand and you just go. Oh no music because on the piano you make the music by striking the keys but with a accordion unless you are pumping the air there is no sound. So for the accordion some of the beauty in master the bellows, the bellows can do all kind of things that a piano player can not do the most interesting of course is the swell a note. For example you can start very softly or you can start loud and get soft. I think this is what gives the accordion some of the passion the ability to do what string players can do with there bow but to change the volume in the middle of the note. There is many other bellow techniques that really good accordion players that use their bellow shakes and for vibratos and there is all kinds of wonderful things and those are really what give accordion playing its flavor is the control over the bellows. Not just playing the nice notes but controlling bellows. "
