"Hi, my name is Paul Becker and I'm here to talk to you about accordions today on behalf of Expert Village. This segment will be about the general types of accordion and how they are played. This is a modern piano accordion and this is how it sounds putting the bass and the treble together. Okay, so you have the standardbas and you have the piano keyboard. I won't play this one but this is very similar, this is a modern piano accordion also but on the bass side instead of being a standardbas. This is a bass where each button actually plays just one note. This is mostly used for people play jazz accordion or they play classical accordion. This accordion is a chromatic accordion and as you see on the right hand or the treble side it has buttons. These accordions are actually a better engineering system they sound just the way the older accordion pianos have played. But it is much really a efficient way of organizing the notes and so you might ask on this accordion you can play a whole octave with this much space and on this accordion, you might have to reach this far so organically or engineering wise this is a superior accordion. Plus on this accordion you can transpose to one key to another by just moving up and down the keyboard. So you may ask why are accordions all accordions made this way? It is because really many people have learned the piano first as I have and we already transform or trans over to this really easily where as in the chromatic accordion we have to learn a whole new set of notes. My advice to you if you want to play an accordion and you are not a piano player first find yourself a chromatic superior engineering solution. "
