"My name is Paul Louis and today I am going to give you musical theater audition tips. We spoke a little bit about the harsh realities of the business of being a musical theatre actor and one of those realities is that you are going to get rejected quite a few times. If I had a penny for every time I was rejected for a musical theatre audition, I would be a millionaire by now. So you want to get used to that concept and you want to have the type of attitude that keeps you going. After you audition for a show regardless of whatever vibes you felt while you were auditioning, you have to say this important word in your head after you audition. Next, what I mean by that is next audition. We put that one in the past, we’ll see what happens; focus on the next one and getting that one and the one after that. You always want to have that next attitude. You don’t want to fill your mind up with oh gosh, my audition was terrible. Oh, I sounded flat. Oh, they didn’t like me. Don’t worry about that. Focus on next and you will do fine. This has been Paul Louis on behalf of expertvillage.com and I thank you for watching. Good luck!"
