"On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Paul Louis and today I am going to give you musical theatre audition tips. Okay, we spoke about head shots but now let’s talk about resumes. Every head shot needs to have a resume as well and the resume should be printed on the back of your head shot. Now you want to list all of your previous experience in theatre. You want to list who you trained with, you want to list where you studied, you want to list your contact information, your cell phone number, if you are a member of a union; I’m a member of Accusatory Association so I would be sure to include that on my resume. I’m also a member of the screen actor’s skill; it doesn’t apply to theater but it is always good to put this information on your resume. You definitely want to show case the latest show to the show that you did in your early career towards the end. You want to list in that order. Some people like to list the name of the place right in the middle, some people like to list it on the far inside here. It really doesn’t matter. Some people say that if you list it right in the middle the name of the shows, the person who is reading, it will draw their attention right to the middle of the page. But it doesn’t matter. They will check out your resume. What you will also want to do by the way is you want to put your skills at the bottom, if you have extra skills. For instance if you juggle or if you are a puppeteer or if you do great voice impressions you want to put that down at the bottom as well so you definitely are going to need a good updated resume with your head shot."
