"Hello, this is Paul from www.puppetsnstuff.com. You can find us on the worldwide web at www.puppetsnstuff.com. Okay, now. We have made a mouth board and we have made our character with our stuffed arms. We are now going to take this mouth board and we are going to put inside of our puppet. So what we are going to do is you want to find a nice place for the mouth to fit. So what you want to do is size it up on your character, kind of like that. That is a pretty good size. And right in the corner here where I am pointing, that is where you are going to cut; between here and here. Let me do that right now. Size it up, cut a little slit not all the way through. In other words you do not want to cut through the other side of the puppet, you just want to cut through one side of the puppet. You slowly cut the slit here and I will show you exactly what I did here. Okay, Look what I did. You see how I just cut that slit right here. I did not go through the other side of the material. This part is a little tricky. Let me turn around see if you can see it this way. I am going to stick it in here. Then you want to take the top part and do that. Then take the bottom part and do that. You see here how I have the corners matching up to the corners of the mouth board. I am leaving a little lip type of area and what we are going to do is take our hot glue gun and we are going to dad hot glue underneath all of this. We are going to start at the top of the mouth first. Now this is the part where we need our trusty little cup of water. I am going to show you why in a second. "

on 1/11/2009 Thank you Paul! A friend asked me if I had any puppets and that she needed an ant puppet to take on a missionary trip this Friday. I came home and googled making puppets and found your videos and they were so helpful! Yes, you did say you burnt your fingers many a time but I had the water AND still burnt my fingers twice! OUCH! They are still hurting as I type this. You made the mouth look so simple and I had a bit of trouble. I've never done this before and really have no experience with a hot glue gun either so not bad for an amature. I used stringed pompoms for the legs and used pipe cleaners with a pompom glued on top for the antenaes. NOW she wants an armadillo??? I don't know about this one.
