"Now the first type of amplifier I'm going to discuss is an acoustic amplifier. This up top, this Trace Elliot amplifier is geared towards acoustic instruments such as this acoustic guitar. As we mentioned earlier an electric acoustic allows you to plug the guitar into an amplifier because of a pick up. Now what you would do, you would take a quarter inch instrument cable and plug it from the output jack on the guitar, which is down here, and you would plug the other end of the cable into the input jack here. Here you've got two different types of input jacks. There is a low level for the piezo which is that pick up that I mentioned was under the bridge or the active high level which would be your quarter inch input. Now you've got different settings on here, gain and reverb. Gain would be essentially your volume and reverb is an effect, it's kind of an echo sound we'll talk about later. Also on here you've got the equalization which is the tone, whether it'd be dark or bright however you want to describe it. Then over here you've got the different types of reverb that you could use, the program, the level which is the volume, overall volume, and a couple fine tuning mechanisms here. One is for shape which is kind of another type of tone and the notch filter which you saw on the acoustic guitar earlier, similar to that but an in board effect here on the amp."
