"Here we're going to talk about some of the adjustments you can make on an amplifier. Specifically in this clip, volume and gain. Now volume is just the loudness, how loud you want the amp to be. So you're going to take the volume here and of course as you turn it up and down, the louder it gets. Now gain, the knob to its left is about the distortion or the breakup in the sound. And as you increase that you get a little bit more of a gritty tone. So you'll notice it gets kind of buzzy which is more of a rock sound so you can get a bit of a heavier tone going on. Now you'll notice it gets a bit louder when you crank up the gain too but rarely would you play something with large gain or much distortion very quietly."
