"Now I'm going to discuss the difference between the construction of several amps, not just the insides which we've talked about for the last three types of amps but the actual construction of them. Now there's two main types of amplifiers. There's a combo amp and a stack. Now the difference is such that you would have in a combo amp, the preamp, which is essentially the amplifier and the electronic components and the speaker which is behind here, all in one unit. Now a stack separates these two out. So essentially the preamp, the area with all the electronics and the adjustments in it would be its own unit. Which often times could be this wide and this tall. And then the speaker would be its own speaker cabinet. Now this a very small amp, it's good to see that you can keep it all very compact but with a stack it becomes much larger. You might have a cabinet that's as tall as say my belt here from the floor down or from the floor up to my belt. And you know, maybe this wide and you could fit four speakers within one speaker cabinet. It's for playing live, very loud, and projects a lot more sound."
