"Now the basics of not only music theory, but music itself is the sound wave, a waveform. Now, when you do anything, even when I'm talking, if I was to play a note on the guitar, it's emitting a wave into the air around it. Now, essentially what a wave is, is a vibration. So if you look at a string, and I pick it, it kind of looks like it's getting fuzzy when I hit it. And that's because the wave, which is actually the string, is doing this kind of thing...it's like a, that kind of pattern. And it's vibrating in that pattern. Now, depending on what string you're on, it'll be a different size wave, depending how you pick it, if it's going to be loud, or soft. But essentially, it refers to how that string is vibrating after it's struck."
