This is again very similar to the major seven chord and this is by altering and lowering the seventh a half step. Keeping the major third the same so we have again our root, which is C. We have our third, a major third, which is E. We have our G, which is our fifth and now we lower the seventh a half step and there is your dominant seventh chord. "
