Shading & Highlighting the Nose: How to Apply Stage Makeup

"Hello! I am Monte and today on behalf of Expert Village, we are going to be talking about makeup for the stage. Now we are going to talk about highlighting and shadow in regards to the nose. When applying highlight and shadow, you can use either your hands which is what I prefer to do in most cases or a small brush such as this one here about quarter inch in thickness. It is best to use a brush when trying to make fine lines in highlight shadow or any other makeup you are putting on your face. I prefer the finger for how well it blends the material with the foundation. When highlighting the nose, the most important part to get well lit is the bridge of the nose of course because the light will be hitting the bridge of your nose naturally. When highlighting your nose if you would like to make your character have the appearance of a wider or thinner nose, a very easy way to do that is just to widen or narrow the width of this line of highlight that you are putting on top of the bridge of your nose, and also depending on what part of your face you want to standout, you can extend this line all the way up here to between your eyebrows to give yourself the appearance of having a flat line from the tip of your nose all the up to your forehead with a very pronounced bridge and to blend this line even with a foundation brush is good for around the edges and then in addition to the top of your nose above the nostrils, you can apply the foundation to make the bridges in your nose stand apart.
