"On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Nathan Bugh, and with me is my talented student Shannon Sharoney. We're here at Dance Manhattan Studios in New York City to teach you Balboa and other Swing-era dances. To embellish the Charleston step we're going to use kicks. The kicks are downward kicks. None of this only kicks down from the body. That means you have to lift your knee in between each kick. To practice, I'll give you an exercise. We're going to kick twice with each foot. Prepare, kick down. Prepare, kick again. Switch, kick down. Prepare, kick again. That's two kicks on each foot. One, two. One, two. One, two. One, two. One, two. One, two. From the side. One, two. One, two. One, two. One, two."
