" On behalf of Expert Village I'm Nathan Bugh, and my talented student Shannon Sheroni. Were here at Dance Manhattan studios in New York City, to teach you Balboa and other swing era dances. When you do Balboa with a partner the leader takes his first step on left foot and the follower takes her first step on right foot. You do it facing each other in a perfectly square position. But before we talk about that lets look at the feet. When I step on to my left foot Shannon is going to take her step onto her right foot. When I step to the side she steps in the same direction we hold change weight step to the side hold change weight. And in rhythm it looks like this. 5,6,7 we go. Step-step -hold, step-step-step hold, step-step-step hold, step-step-step hold, step-step-step hold, step-step-step hold."
