" On behalf of Expert Village I'm Nathan Bugh, and my talented student Shannon Sheroni. Were here at Dance Manhattan studios in New York City, to teach you Balboa and other swing era dances. Most of Balboa, which is the first dance that we will look at. Takes place below the waist and sometimes even below the knees. This is the basic Balboa step; it is based on rhythm and weight changes. Both partners have the same step but they start at separate times. I am going to start with the first step that the leader would take. Start with the left foot stepping in place and the right foot stepping slightly to the side. Then you hold for one beat change weight back on to the left. Then we step forward with the right foot and step slightly to the side with the left. Again hold for one beat and transfer to right foot. It's time to start over. To get back to our home place we will have to step back with the left, step to the side to the right, hold for one beat change weight. Step forward to the side hold change weight. Let me show you from back in real time. Step-step -hold, step- step -step -hold, step -step -step- hold, step- step-step -hold."
