"NEIL HUBBARD: The last grace note we're going to look at is the D grace note. It's the other commonly used one in addition to the G and the E. Some people may find that a little more difficult because it's--everything's occurring on one hand here. The right hand, rather than having the left hand make the grace note and the right hand make the melody note coming up the scale. So--is your basic D grace note. So, I'll just play the scale from low G on up and back down. One way to really simplify this is--just to realize that this finger has to come up and down by itself and the other fingers are just sort of along for the ride. Going from B to C is commonly the hardest and it's made easy by simply--you lift both of those off and close those two. So there's this instant where there are no fingers on the chanter--and up to time it's more like--and that's the D grace note scale."
