"NEIL HUBBARD: Now we're going to take a look at the E grace note. It's simply a matter of lifting your left ring finger up and down; that creates the E grace note. You can only play an E grace note on any note below E. You can't play it on an F, G or a high A. So I'll play the scale up from low G and back down. So as with the G grace note, it's important on the way up the scale for the fingers to coordinate so that the bottom finger lifts as the E finger lifts and drops and then on the way back down the scale it's important for the holes to close simultaneously so that you get a nice clean--transition instead of--instead of something like that. So that's your basic E grace note."
