"NEIL HUBBARD: So, now I'm going to back down the scale from high A. You'll notice that the sound is very clean and clear between the notes. There's a distinct and clear transition that happens. The most important one is going from E to D or D to E, so that you don't get a crossing noise in there, which would sound like. What happened there is I didn't lift my right hand fingers before I put the left E finger down. What needs to happen is these right hand fingers come up slightly before the E finger goes down to get a nice transition. And the same crossing from D up to E, you don't want--a crossing noise in there, you want to hear a distinct D and then an E by lifting this finger slightly before this close."
