My name is Niall O'Leary from the Niall O'Leary School of Irish Dance in New York City and today I'm demonstrating beginner soft shoe Irish dance. So now we have reached the more difficult move in our course in beginning soft shoe Irish dance this is called a double back hop. For this move your going to bring your foot up to the back except your going to bring it up twice so we are going to help you get off the floor. We are going to push off with both feet and then we are going to go up, down, up like this. Up, down, up so the critical thing is that the first one up high make it look good. So this is what it looks like up, down, up. So let's do a jump first to get moving and then we do up, down, up. So again the back leg action is up, down, up, the front foot stays straight. So we are going to do jump up, down, so see how I'm bringing my back foot up, down, and then up. Once more jump, up, down that is called a double back.
