"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Pat Louis. Here in Miami, I'm going to show you today how to set up a drum kit. The thing that makes the bass drum work of course, is the bass pedal. This is important because they're several ways you can hook this up. Usually it will come in flat. This part would be laid out flat. There is a little hook in here so that anchors this part which gives you that little swing part of it so when you push down on the pedal, the ball will actually hit the head of the bass drum. There is also an adjustment here. Sometimes people like to have this way way back so they will loosen this pull way out so that the ball will actually be further back. As you push down on the pedal, it will come way up and smack that head and give you that nice fat loud sound. I like it about this way and when you hook it up, you put this layer underneath the head and then there is a little hook here that goes down and locks it into place. So that when you press that down, you are going to get a nice fat sound. You can also loosen these to give you a fatter one if you want. These will make you tune it up just perfectly."
