Cutting Cards on a Table for Magic Tricks

" Hi everybody, Malik the magic guy for expertvillage.com. Now I want to talk to you a little bit about cutting cards. This is going to seem like very basic stuff, but again it’s something you want to be conscious of. I’m going to first show you how to cut them in your own hands and onto the table. So you want to start with the cards in the basic dealing grip like I showed you before, and we’re going to come over with our hand and just cut and then kind of just remove our fingers and put the other packet underneath so you can just cut like that. It doesn’t seem like much, but if you practice it and do it smoothly, it’s going to help you with your card magic… just like that. Now if you’re going to cut packets onto the table, you just kind of cut them down just like that. And you can cut multiple packets down; these are going to spread a little bit because the table’s tilted, but you can cut multiple packets down just like that. So there’s cutting the cards in the hand, and what I’m doing is just kind of gripping between my thumb and the part of my finger here to put those underneath and then cut into the table just like that. Later on I’m going to show you a way to do that so it’s not even a real cut, so that’s going to be cool, more on cutting cards."
