Finding a Card With the Si Stebbins Deck Setup

" Hi! Malik the Magic Guy at expertvillage.com. Now I want to show you some other cool tricks to do using the Si Stebbins setup. This is going to be fun. For this we need Mr. Hand, and we’ll take our cards, give them another series of cuts here, and what I’d like you to do, Mr. Hand, is cut the cards as well. Cut them right in half, and complete the cut, and you can do it again if you’d like. Mr. Hand still doesn’t trust me; that’s okay. Alright Mr. Hand, what I would like you to do is just stick your finger on a card, just touch one, this one here, we’ll cut that to the bottom, and I want you to take that card, show it to the camera. Now I’m going to read your mind…that card is a red 4, it is a 4 of diamonds, excellent, now let me show you quickly how to do that. Because of the Si Stebbins setup, what I did was, when Mr. Hand touched a card, I cut the deck at that point and I gave him this card. Then while he was showing the camera, I looked at the bottom card. Now this is the king of diamonds, so I know that he has a 3, and because the cards go clubs, hearts, spades, diamonds, clubs, hearts, spades, diamonds, all I need to do is go through that in my head. I know that after diamond comes a club, so he has the 3 of clubs. And that’s how you can tell someone what card they selected using the Si Stebbins setup."
