" And he’s going to finish dealing; we’re going to put these aside. So now we have two piles. The pile that is on your right that starts with red is correct, so that if I take the red marker and I show them all of these cards, after it they’re going to be red. That just happened because of the way we setup the deck. Now the black marker: all these cards after it are going to be black, and that just happened naturally. Now this pile’s actually backwards: the black card is marking the red cards, and the red card is marking the black cards, but here’s how you want to do that. If you spread the cards this way in your hands, what you do is take the black one you put it there, you take the red one you put it right next to it. So you keep them in the same positions they were in, and then you just turn your hand over, and that’s going to put the cards in the right positions, just like that. So one more time, let me show you that, just so that you see how the separation’s going to go…just like this. So technically, right now it’s backwards. I’m going to put the king here, the queen here. and if it’s easier for you, you can even take these cards and spread them like this in your hand and put them down just like that. And there you have a really, really great trick, “Out of This World,” by Paul Curry. Now I want to say one quick word about doing tricks that other people invent. You should always look up the original and learn it, because a lot of times that’s the best version of the trick. This is a slightly simplified version for the purposes of this video, but definitely look up Paul Curry stuff, look up “out of this world,” and keep reading, and keep practicing, and keep studying with these old classic tricks, cause they’re all from the best ones."
