Video Transcript

"Our last exercise for today is the cool-down. A cool-down is a good habit to get into. As we sing, we work muscles that we're not used to working. When we talk, after we sing, we can actually hurt these muscles by not bringing the chords back together. Even though in this first video series, the cool-down is probably not as necessary, as you go forward, you want to be able to cool-down after your exercises, or after you sing. So it's just a good habit to get into. Now the cool-down goes like this. It's very gentle. You're going to have an open throat, and just a little bit of a "hoot", like an owl. [singing] Notice how gently we did in that exercise. Kind of like how we started the exercises of the day. This will leave you safe enough to talk after you have sung. "
