"MIKE LAIS: Hi. I'm Mike Lais and on behalf of Expert Village, this is diminished chord voicings. Alright, diminished 7th chord's 3rd inversion, this is where we're going to start on the double flatted 7. I just like saying double flatted 'cause it makes you sound smart, right? Tell your mom or whatever that you know what a double flat is. Anyway, this is where we're going to start off on the double flat as a chord and then spell it just the remainder just as we've done before. If you checked out into the other 7th chord voicings, we're going to do the same thing here. Let's take a look. We have our root position C diminished 7th chord which looks like this, 1, flat 3, flat 5, double flatted 7, just like that, and we're going to start off on the 7th of the chord for the 3rd inversion. So, we're going to go double flatted 7. We're going to go 1, flat 3, flat 5, just like that. Okay, and now you can arpeggiate through the different inversions just by moving down one each time. It's a good way to get it into your fingers. Just start up here, now, we'll go to the 2nd inversion, go to the 3rd inversion, go to the root chord. Okay, just like that. Try doing that a little bit. But anyway, for the 3rd inversion one more time, it's going to be double flatted 7, 1, flat 3, flat 5."
