"MIKE LAIS: Hi. I'm Mike Lais and on behalf of Expert Village, this is diminished chord voicings. Okay, so now we have the diminished chord in the root position. You know the diminished chord in the 1st inversion. Now, let's take a look at diminished in the 2nd inversion which is this is going to where we start off on a 5th of a chord. And this is going to look this. So, we're taking the original chord a C diminished, 1, flat 3, flat 5, and then we're going to just make that so that the flat 5, right here, is going to be the base of the chord. So, we take these two and put them up here, and then I have a flat 5 on the bottom. So, we're going to go flat 5, 1, flat 3, just like that. Okay. This has a little bit less of a jump in it than the 1st inversion. So, it's a little bit more of a closed position which I kinda like and this is just going to be, one more time, it's going to look like flat 5, 1, flat 3. And that is your 2nd inversion for the diminished triad."
