" Hi! I am Mike Oberst. I am with expertvillage.com. I am a bagpipe instructor and today, I am going to be taking you through a few steps and basics of the great highland bagpipe. The instrument that I have here with me today is a great highland bagpipe and it is made up of a few, well, a lot of different things. This is practice chanter in which your tune is played out on. This is the blowpipe in which you need to blow into to put air into the reservoir or bladder, which will feed air into the chanter and the three drones. Now, this drone right up here is the base drone and these two are the tenor drones. The tenor drones who have the same note and the base drone drones that same note except an octave low. That is pretty much what the highland bagpipes are made of. "
